Hello, Dear Yuleperson!

Thank you so much for writing for me <3. I adore all of these fandoms, so I look forward to seeing what you do with them! My AO3 account is TLvop, for easy access :).

I’ve set up this letter as Triggers – Do Not Wants –General Likes/Dislikes—Fandom Specific babble & prompts. The only thing I ask you definitely pay attention to is the Triggers – the DNWs and General Dislikes are varying degrees of "generally no, but if the fic of your heart says yes, go for it".

Triggers: Non-consensual sexual interaction & anything under-18 sexual. My brain can get pretty ridiculous here, so please avoid on-screen sex/near sex to be safe – you can feel free to hand-wave it off screen or fade to black early. Triggers

I have a sensitive non-con/dub-con/childhood sexual abuse trigger. So as to be less scary, I've listed what's a-okay before what really isn't.

What I can read and do mostly enjoy -- Early "fade to black"s and kissing are generally fine, especially in relationships that are already established in the fic's timeline or are known to be happily established in canon if you're writing a prequel. Also, sexually explicit talk between characters with no likely sexual interest in each other doesn't spike my anxiety. That's weird, maybe, but one of my canons is Riddick so I figured I'd clarify!

What will set me off -- "On-screen" sexual encounters; dirty talk; sexual threats; discussion of non-con/dub-con/childhood sexual abuse. Any threats of those taking place. And of those actually taking place. Discussed incest. On-screen incest. Under-18 sexual relationships in focus. Cross-generational (like "I knew you when you were a child " not purely age difference) ships. please believe me on this -- someone during yuletide pointed out I've liked and written some fic that muddle into some of these territories, but me writing it / friends I trust who give me thorough warnings over IM =/= gift fic from an anon :)

ALSO -- I would appreciate a warning for suicide if it comes up at all. I can handle it if I'm not surprised.

First of all, thank you so much! I’m really happy you offered to write for one (or more?) of my fandoms, and I hope this letter helps you with the first part of that process.

In general, what you need to know about me is that I prefer gen or het stories, definitely nothing above “PG-13.” I also prefer happy or hopeful endings to stories, and stories that are true to canon in levels of violence and/or romance. Some of my notes are pretty specific, but I’ve tried to give you at least 2 or 3 different ideas for each canon in the hope that something I have to say here will spark your interest. Happy writing!

I wrote a fic in Lord of the Rings fandom about a year ago and posted it on AO3 (here), but I figured I should post it here as well in case anyone would like to read it :). It was for a class, and basically explores Smeagol's early life with the use of his people's stories/history.

Title: The Days Before The Days After
Fandom: Lord of the Rings books pre-canon, based mostly on the appendices and other sources.
Characters: Young Gollum (as Smeagol), brief appearance of Aragorn/Strider.
Rating: G
Summary: Young Sméagol watched, and he listened; he paid attention to the words people spoke and the clothes that they wore and the places they came from. He held them all in his mind, and thought upon them when he had chance to daydream in the shade of the willow-trees.
