Iron&Hurricanes
Mar. 20th, 2006 02:00 pm..Memes and I do not get along. Gah. Am at school, and was Pondering which (as you well know) can be a dangerous activity.
Currently, is just kind of odd because was considering how Iron is Fe which stands for Ferrum, and was wondering if Elves (as in Sidhe not Eldar) are ferrephobic. Even though Latin and Greek donae usually mix.
...okayyes, was feeling random. And you didn't need to know that, but whatever.
In other news, my grandmum is just south of Cairns (pronounced: Cans), Australia, where the cyclone hit last night with 180 mph winds (seems awful fast, but am taking mum's word for it. Aprx. 200 kilometers, she said, and I forget the translation equation to check her thingeh). Um, we haven't been contacted by her but there was a lot of forewarning so the town--which is, like, two miles south of Cairns, was pretty well secured, and there was only one casualty and some minor injuring. So, hopefully yay.
Is kind of freaky, though, because I was just there two years ago and I loved Cairns, and it has a beautiful rainforest that borders right on the ocean (like, five-ten feet of sandbar) so I hope the econess did not get hit too hard.
Must go work on math now, loff y'all.
